Fighting for Madagascar's lemurs

Fighting for Madagascar's lemurs

Forty-one species and sub-species of primate are endangered in Madagascar, according to a study by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Lemurs are particularly at risk as they are hunted for food and slash-and-burn agriculture threatens their habitat. Jonah Ratsimbazafy is a local conservationist, sponsored by the international group Earthwatch, who is trying to save the lemurs from being wiped out.
